The Par Report
About The Par Report

Golf coverage that respects the reader.

We're not a press release service. We're not a brand partner(although we do accept free stuff). We're just a small team of people who love the game and believe good journalism still matters.

Our mission

The Par Report was founded on a simple premise: golf fans deserve better than recycled press releases and sponsored content dressed up as journalism.

We cover the PGA Tour, LIV Golf, the DP World Tour, and the LPGA with the same rigor we'd apply to any beat. We test gear ourselves. We talk to players, caddies, coaches, and the people who run the game — not just the ones who want coverage.

We're independent. We don't take money from equipment manufacturers to write reviews(but we will gladly take the equipment sent). We don't run sponsored posts disguised as editorial. When we have a commercial relationship with anyone, we disclose it clearly.

What we stand for

Independence

No brand deals(yet). No sponsored editorial. No access journalism. We write what we find, not what we're paid to say.

Transparency

When we have a conflict of interest, we disclose it. When we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and promptly.

Accuracy

We verify before we publish. We don't chase clicks with speculation dressed up as reporting.

Respect for readers

You're smart. You know the game. We write for people who don't need everything explained from scratch.

Editorial standards

1

We test gear ourselves

Every equipment review is based on actual on-course testing. We don't publish manufacturer specs as reviews.

2

We correct mistakes publicly

When we get something wrong, we add a correction note to the original article and note the date it was corrected.

3

We disclose conflicts

If a writer has a financial relationship with a company they're covering, we say so at the top of the piece.

4

We don't do access journalism

We don't soften coverage in exchange for interviews. If a player or organization won't talk to us because of something we wrote, that's fine.

5

Sources are protected

We protect confidential sources. We don't reveal who told us things without their explicit permission.
